As cat lovers ourselves, we always look for ways to help all the cute furry animals and the community the best we could. For those who have not seen the news on CBC Vancouver, one of our favorite rescue, Cat Therapy and Rescue Society (CTRS) had to recently make a difficult decision to put a pause in accepting new cats due to the lack of space and funds with an influx of felines that need help. Some of the cats are being surrendered, because with pandemic restrictions easing, host families are travelling or returning to work offices. CTRS also has a high demand in accepting cats from other rescues that require serious medical attention. They also help out numerous other rescues that don't have the capacity to handle cats that need more medical care.
"Cats who don't get the care they need can end up severely abused or killed", said by the Executive director Melina Csontos at CTRS.
Seeing animals that require medical care being turned away really breaks our heart.
So we'd like to take this opportunity to donate the sales (now until Aug 7) of all our Cat Collection to CTRS and in hope to help them in this tough time. If you are a cat lover yourself, or know someone who are obsessed with cats/kittens, it's a great time to send them a little gift! By doing so, not only you could put a smile on someone's face, but also this will help all the cats and kittens in need.
If you could foster, applications to become a foster parent can be found here.
You can also directly donate to CTRS on their website.
Any help, big or small is greatly appreciated!
